There is a house in my past
with a missing corner.
In feng shui, every corner of a home
holds a part of your life.
It was my dream home.
Everyone called it perfect.
But inside those white walls,
I was disappearing.
I had survived worse.
A childhood home that wasn’t safe.
Years in a past relationship that hurt me.
The only safe place I knew
was my grandmother’s house.
Birds at the window.
The smell of fresh bread
drifting through every room.
I can still smell it today.
When I finally left that dream house
and looked at its floor plan, I understood.
The southwest corner was missing:
the corner of love and partnership,
and of the woman
at the head of the home.
The house was missing a woman.
And so was I.
Leaving that house
was how I found myself again.
Then I went away on a retreat,
and I prayed
to God and my spiritual guides:
show me my purpose.
I had designed homes for years.
I loved moving furniture,
styling rooms, arranging flowers.
But I needed more meaning. More depth.
I came home full of light.
And the moment I opened my door,
I saw it.
A frame in my corridor
from my old marriage.
Every day I walked past it,
and every day it whispered betrayal.
I had never noticed.
We do the inner work.
Then we come home to a house
that no longer reflects who we are.
That day, I found my purpose:
to help you come home to yourself.
Inside your heart,
and inside your home.
Now I help others do the same,
through interior design, feng shui
and the psychology of space.
Your home is never just a house.
It’s where you begin again.
I create homes that
hold you, heal you,
and help you rise.
